A M6.9 strong earthquake occurred in Morocco at around 23:11 local time on the 8th Sep,2023. According to news from the Moroccan Ministry of Interior on September 13th, the death toll rose to 2,946, and 5,674 injured. BSB and all our members express our deepest condolences to the victims and sympathy to the families who have lost their loved ones and the people in the disaster area! We look forward to the smooth progress of the post-disaster rescue work and wish the injured people to recover soon!
After knowing the seriousness of the disaster, BSB immediately contacted the Office National de l'Electricité et de l'Eau Potable (ONEE) and inquired in detail about the operating status of the batteries installed in the substations of disaster area and offered our willing of providing any technical assistance and service support to ensures stable power supply after disasters. It was great to learn from ONEE that the substation where the BSB battery is located is in good condition and is operating safely and stably. BSB battery safely and reliably provides backup power to the SAS system and telecommunication system, ensuring power supply for post-disaster rescue and people in the disaster area.
